Meet the possible running mate to Peter Obi – Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed
It is almost certain that the purported alliance between Labour Party and New Nigeria Peoples Party will no longer work. For that reason now no chance of the former governor of Kano State becoming the Running Mate of Peter Obi in the 2023 general elections. So Labour Party and their candidate Mr. Peter Obi has moved on in search of another credible candidate for that position.
A few names have come up as possible candidates that Peter Obi might turn to. Some of them include former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria – Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Another name that has been speculated is former Kaduna State senator Sen. Shehu Sani. But it appears Peter Obi has found the man they are looking for in Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed. There are strong indications that the leadership of Labour Party and Mr. Peter Obi himself has agreed to go with Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as Obi’s running mate.
