Who is Peter Obi and Who is Rabiu Kwankwaso?
Peter Obi is the presidential candidate of Labour Party after leaving Peoples Democratic Party in May. He is the formal governor of Anambra State. His candidacy tends to be gathering steam on a daily basis with notable personalities speaking out in his support. If this social media activities is anything to go by, it also seems most Nigerian Youths favour his candidacy. In fact most people believe that the PVC revolution currently sweeping the nation is because of Peter Obi.
On the other hand, Rabiu Kwankwaso is a former governor of Kano State. And he is the presidential candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party. It is not a secret that he is another force to reckon with. His popularity in the 3K states (Kano, Kaduna and Katsina) is enough to determine the outcome of an election in the entire North West.
Many people has been calling for a merger of the two parties and with Tanko openly speaking up about this means it is a great possibility.
Though no agreement has been reached on this but it will be interesting to see how it plays out in the days ahead.
