Peter Obi humbles Hope Uzodimma in Owerri
Yesterday Thursday June 23, 2022 it was a roll call of who is who at the Assumpta Cathedral of The Catholic Church Owerri, Imo State. The occasion was the installation of the new Catholic archbishop of Owerri ecclesiastical province, His Grace, Most Reverend Lucius Ugorji.
Among the dignitaries present is the governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma. Also present is the former governor of Anambra State and Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
During the time of recognition the Bishop took time to recognize most of the dignitaries present including the governor, to the applause of all worshipers. But the reaction and atmosphere had to completely change at the mention of the name Peter Obi. For several minutes the people could not allow the bishop to continue with the recognition as everywhere was ignited with applause and praise for Mr. Obi.

The camera showed Mr. Obi just smiling in admiration. It must have been a humbling experience for the governor as people barely noticed when his name was mentioned.
In fact, the excitement was too much that the bishop couldn’t help but join them. The bishop was heard using the poplar line of Obi’s supporters “everyone must be Obi-dient”.
This is yet another big statement to the growing popularity of Mr. Peter Obi as the race for the 2023 general election continues. Peter Obi is among the top 3 candidates for the forthcoming 2023 presidential election. Others are Bola Tinubu of All Progressive Congress and Atiku Abubakar of Peopes’ Democratic Party.
